City Seeking Sponsors to Put on 2027 Event
The City of Goleta is pleased to announce it is the recipient of a 1st place 2026 California Association of Public Information Officials (CAPIO) STAR Award in the category of Community Event Coverage for its 2026 4th of July Goleta Drone Light Show Highlight Video. The STAR Awards recognize excellence in government video programming in California and Nevada. The video was produced by Paul Westmacott with Paradigm Pictures and narrated by Community Relations Manager Kelly Hoover. You can watch the video here.
The announcement of the award comes at a perfect time as the City is planning its third 4th of July Drone Light Show event and is currently looking for sponsors. Once again, Yardi has stepped up to be a major sponsor and now the City is putting out a call to both returning and new sponsors to join what has become a new patriotic tradition in the Good Land.
This year the event falls on a Sunday evening (July 4, 2027) and the venue will remain the same: Dos Pueblos High School (DPHS) located at 7266 Alameda Avenue. A huge thank you to the Santa Barbara Unified School District and DPHS for hosting us again!
In addition to the Drone Light Show itself, there will be music, activities, entertainment, food trucks and a VIP section. We continue to see a great turnout for this event with thousands of people in attendance! Thank you to Santa Barbara Airbus for continuing to provide free shuttle service.
Sponsors help cover the costs of the Drone Light Show itself, security, audio/visual, custodial services, entertainment and more. Last year, 26 amazing sponsors came together to make this event happen – who will be part of this year’s group?
The City would like to have a majority of its sponsors in place by January 31, 2027. If your business or organization is interested in supporting the drone show, please email PIO@CityofGoleta.gov. You can view our sponsorship levels here.
We look forward to another great Fourth of July event. Thank you in advance for your support!
