The Goleta Valley Library (GVL) ADA, Safety, and Building Improvement Project is moving along. The project is focused on bringing the building up to current code standards and improving accessibility, safety, and sustainability measures within the facility. During the past few weeks, crews have completed installation of HVAC ducting and interior fire sprinklers throughout the Library. Framing and installation of rough-in plumbing in the new accessible restrooms is also complete. Work is now focused on installation of framing for the ceilings throughout the facility.
Stay tuned for more updates in future issues of the Monarch Press. Additional information about the construction project and the separate Goleta Valley Library Interior Capital Campaign is available on the Goleta Valley Library Improvement Project webpage.
