Stay Cool with the Splash Pad

Open through Labor Day

Children and adults alike have been enjoying the City’s newest recreation feature this summer, the splash pad at Jonny D. Wallis Neighborhood Park in Old Town. It has been a great way to stay cool this hot summer. As a reminder, the last day the splash pad will be open for the season is Monday, September 7 (Labor Day).

Here’s what you need to know before visiting:

The splash pad is open six days per week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The facility is closed on Wednesdays for routine maintenance and cleaning throughout the summer season.

To help us keep the splash pad operating smoothly and to keep the maintenance to only one day per week, please help us by following the rules and guidelines stated below:

  • Children are required to have adult supervision. There are no lifeguards on duty.
  • Children under three years of age must wear a swim diaper.
  • No pets, food, candy, gum, or glass permitted on the splash pad.
  • Although the water is treated, sanitized, and recirculated—do not drink the water.
  • Be ready to get wet and be sure to bring your swimsuit and towels.
  • Water shoes and bare feet only on the splash pad.
  • Users are requested to rinse off before use and showers are available.
  • Parking at the park is limited, so please consider riding your bike, walking or carpooling.
  • There is no entry fee—the splash pad is free to use!
