The City of Goleta is sharing a valuable resource to help local entrepreneurs, small businesses, and nonprofits access mentorship, practical guidance, and educational resources through Business Empowerment & Mentorship (BEAM).
BEAM is the Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber of Commerce’s (Chamber) all-volunteer business mentoring and business development program, connecting entrepreneurs, small businesses, and nonprofits with experienced business leaders who provide free, confidential, non-judgmental, and one-to-one mentoring based on real-world business experience.
With more than 30 experienced volunteer mentors representing a variety of industries, BEAM can help with business planning, marketing, cash flow, hiring, operations, growth strategies, and more. Every mentor shares one common goal: to help entrepreneurs and business owners start, grow, and thrive.
BEAM’s mentorship services are provided at no cost, and a Chamber membership is not required.
As part of the City of Goleta’s commitment to supporting a thriving local economy, the City is pleased to share BEAM as a resource that aligns with the goals of the City’s Economic Development Strategic Plan, which focuses on strengthening local businesses, supporting entrepreneurship, and creating opportunities for sustainable economic growth.
In addition to one-on-one mentoring, BEAM will be hosting a series of practical business workshops this fall covering topics relevant to today’s entrepreneurs and business owners.
